review 1: Last fall I attended the funeral of one of my dear high school friends mothers, and it seems like every few weeks someone I know is losing a parent. This has made me aware of my own security of having both my parents still in my life, and how grateful I am. This has also made me aware of how strong and fragile we can be. I finished reading this book while working night shift at the Cancer hospital where I am employed. Just a few days ago we lost a young mother to Lymphoma. She died 2 days before her sons first birthday. " Losing someone you love is akin to a deep physical wound. It will eventually heal but there will always be a scar"
review 2: This book is an extremely emotional path through Claire's life filled with ups and deep downs. Books like these can
... more be difficult to read for those of us that can relate but it's powerful message is worth it. Personally, it makes me want to move back to my hometown and spend every waking moment with my family. Always cherish memories of those that we've lost and make new memories when you are blessed with the chance. less
