review 1: My opinion of 'Katana' by Cole Gibsen was overall, I decent book. I liked the characters, the plot was interesting enough, and I enjoyed the blend of 'Slice-of-Life' and 'Action Hero' story types, as it is similar to one of my favorite video game series. If there is one thing I must critizise, it is the pacing. The story has a good pace until the end, where the author seemed to rush for an ending, where it would have been better to either increase the length of the book or to make a cliffhanger and resolve the conflict in a sequal. Even still, the book is interesting, with a use of Japanese culture, something I love. If you are into stories with action, you should at least check this book out.
review 2: At first, I was only looking for a book to pass the time a... morefter a state test, but the moment I saw the title, I was looking for a book I would enjoy. And I whole-heartedly did. From the very first page, I was already laughing from the quirk that Rileigh had. They were just normal teenagers, but that all changed when Rileigh and Quentin were attacked by muggers. After that, it's all a twist of emotions for Rileigh, and you experience them with her. I don't know about you, but I get really into my books. All the characters, emotions, action scenes, and history entwined into this book make it a greatly entertaining read. less
