review 1: 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. H is a 45 year old workaholic orthopedic surgeon and h is a 30 year old trying to raise a teenage daughter she got pregnant with in high school and now also trying to take care of her mother. Struggling with finances, she takes out an ad as a "companion" in an online publication, "meets" the surgeon and companionship starts with them meeting once a month, first with no sex included but that soon changes. This book starts two years after the H/h have started their companionship. The h has fallen in love but keeps it to herself because she thinks the feelings aren't returned and she doesn't want to "mess up" her lucrative arrangement. But it seems that the surgeon has a lot of secrets that he hasn't shared with his companion even though he asks ... moreher to marry him, kind of out of the blue. The story drags a little at the beginning, but as the h becomes more assertive and we learn the surgeon's backstory the book took on a new light and I found it a very enjoyable read.
review 2: I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Life hasn't been easy for Lucy McPherson. She got pregnant at a young age and didn't finish high school. Lucy worked hard to support both her daughter and mom. Never being able to move up higher in the fast food industry, an unlikely opportunity comes her way. Lucy becomes a sugar baby. A sugar baby is a companion to any number of wealthy men. She meets Bradley Blackwell. He is handsome and older than her. They set up to meet one weekend a month. Her compensation is enough to take care or her family and she isn't struggling anymore. As Lucy spends time with Bradley she realizes she has fallen in love with him. Bradley is a complicated man with a past he won't talk about. Will Lucy have her happy ending or will she be left heartbroken? I found this book to be enjoyable. The characters are well written and I loved the interaction between Lucy and Bradley. There are some sex scenes which are nicely done and don't take away from the story. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good read. I give it 4 stars. less

A nice short story. It lacked depth and drama. Sweet but was a bit slow towards the end

Sappy but still enjoyable.
