review 1: Cyna Kade's "Tessa's Ambassador" is a rather "unique" e-book that deals with the mating habits of a race called the Darinthians whose ambassador to Earth is looking for a soul mate. Kortal the ambassador encounters Tessa who is there for a meeting with the ambassador. He then decides he's going to take her as his soul mate through a bonding process that he speeds up on his own. The story/book is a bit cheesy to be honest, but you deal feel the fear in Tessa as she's forcefully bonded with Kortal. Also, the sex while being a bit overdone isn't all that bad as her being turned on is simply due to his power over her. A cheesy quick sci-fi romance novel that's a quick way to pass the time.
review 2: This book read too much like modern-day roofie meets mental magic ... moreon Darinth. Tessa goes to Kortal for help in finding her missing sister. Kortal takes one look at Tessa and decides that she's the girl for him. He then uses Tessa's desire to find her sister to force his mental bond on her until sexual need takes over, and then he uses that to force her to accept the bonding process. I don't quite put this on par with rape, but it came unappealingly close. And in the end, Tessa, rather than being angry about it, agrees that she never would have consented to this 'wonderful' bond if he hadn't forced her to accept it. This was definitely not my thing. less
