review 1: I read the reviews first, but I still had hight hopes because I liked Ryder's character in the previous book. But like other have said, Sabine's character really killed the book. She was so winey and annoying. Always complaining about the violence and treating Ryder like her own little attack Vampire...except she never let him attack anyone.Cassie seems like more of a kick ass heroine, so i'm hoping the series redeems itself.
review 2: Don't read this if you are looking for a lighthearted paranormal book because this story is downright gritty and heart-wrenching. I was caught up in the story from the first page and even though I have not yet read the first story, I didn't have any trouble following along.
