... morect aid is the main reason for its economic decline. Africa's reliance should stop instantly and instead it should try to engage itself in the international market. The first part of the book sketches how aid started post World War II down to our modern day. I found this part extremely informative. It answered many questions i had regarding aid and the West's intention behind it. Second part of the book lists her suggestions and an effective alternative to aid. To list them briefly: government bonds, micro-finance, trade, Afro-Chinese relations. less
