review 1: Yes, that's correct, I did indeed read this book within a day. A) it was pretty short and b) it was pretty good. I didn't go into it expecting it to be quite like Bossypants (which I loved tremendously!) but it was wonderful, and unique. Danielle Fishel lays out her successes and her failures (okay, mostly her failures) for all the world to see, and does is graciously! It was a fun book to read, and I felt really connected to someone who played a not insignificant role in my childhood and teen years. It was particularly cool to read about Danielle's time as Topanga, and read about how Topanga is a role model even for the woman who plays her. It's ... An interesting experience to read about how different Danielle actually is from that character, but definitely in a go... moreod (almost cathartic) way. If you're a 90's kid, this book is a must read. You will squeal with joy and laugh at all the oh-so-typical 90's kid stuff. It's nostalgic and it's wonderful.
review 2: Okay, so to be honest, I picked this book up just because it was Danielle Fishel. I loved Topanga! Boy Meets World was one of the 3 unmissable shows that I watched! Now, I thought that I would read a little here and a little there and then take it back to the library. Boy was I wrong! I read this thing in 3 days! Would have been one, but darn it, I have to work. This was one of the funniest books I have read in a really long time. Danielle was not afraid to tell anything about herself. I loved it. less
