review 1: I just finished reading "Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir". I have loved Dave Mustaine for almost 30 years. I didn't know what to expect going into this book. I wondered if my opinion of this thrash metal icon would change. For Megadeth fans, it won't come as a surprise that Dave Mustaine is intelligent with and immense vocabulary. I was still surprised by the quality of the book. The story begins at the beginning, with Dave's childhood and progresses through the good and bad and good again up to 2009/2010. It led up to the closing, which was beautiful. My respect for Dave Mustaine has grown. I suppose it helps that I am a true Rattlehead.
review 2: Nothing I wasn't expecting.Well maybe the dènouement is something you wouldn't expect for a rockstar memoir. But I
... more guess it would be illogical to expect a tragic ending for an alive still rockin' person right?I ain't a fan of happy endings but I mean, good for him, I saw a Megadeth's live performance a couple months ago and the guy rocks.I also liked the way he's absolutely true about his Metallica feelings. less
