review 1: This was a book that I read in a couple days because I had to find out what happened to the character who disappears! It was fairly well-written, could have been better in some ways--character development perhaps, but at least it was written in a way that wasn't so obvious that I guessed way before the end of the book what had happened. It could have gone in a couple different ways at least. It really resonates throughout the whole book how important marriage is, and I thought that reverence for marriage was very refreshing.
review 2: I listened to the audio version of this book and the narrator did a good job. There was a lot of suspense in this story and it was written really well. The only complaint I have is that you don't realize it has a religious th... moreeme until you start it. The characters are (in my opinion) hardcore Christians and that got old really fast. The constant "pray for me" and "This must be part of God's plan" and them dropping to their knees in prayer annoyed me. I hate it when a book doesn't disclose things that people may find offensive! I see ones all the time that have warnings about sexual content. I want to start seeing warnings about religious content as well!! less
