review 1: Another amazing job did by Devri Walls! I have to admit I enjoyed this second book in the series more than the first. Kiora it’s more mature in this book, more powerful and strong. She accepted her destiny and she started doing more things and not whine so much. Brilliant job with her! Some new characters were introduced into the book along with a love triangle. I thought this would make me dislike the book, but that didn't happen, even if I liked Emane.Dralazar has returned and he tries to get some compliance from an individual. He quite a villain and he never forgets why he is doing all that things. The loved triangle it’s formed by Emane, Kiora and Alcander, a new character. The two guys argue over her constantly. Alcander is a lost soul, but underneath that grumpy... more skin I think there is a funny, loving character and I think he and Kiora will make a beautiful couple. The author really does a great job at making her world absolutely captivating. This book was a lot more action-packed and intense, than the first book. Devri Walls is a great writer and her writing has a way of forcing you to read her book. I recommend this book!
review 2: I dove immediately into Wings of Tavea right after I finished Wings of Arian. This installment, in my opinion, was a whole lot stronger than Wings of Arian and proves my prediction that it's a series that will really progress.I don't know if it's because I went into the book expecting to dislike Kiora, but I found myself tolerating her presence a lot more in this installment for some reason. She had her whiny and annoying moments but for the most part, I liked her much much better. Her growth was something I had been waiting for from the first book, so I was incredibly pleased to see her become a lot more mature. Her acceptance of her destiny made her appear headstrong and I loved that about her. Some new characters were introduced into the book along with a love triangle, which of course should have left me mad, but surprisingly that was not the case. It's most probably because I wasn't a huge fan of Emane from the first book. The most interesting part about Wings of Tavea was once again the world-building and the plot. The author really does a great job at making her world absolutely alive and captivating. Plus, it was a lot more action-packed and intense than the first book. Devri Walls is a great writer and her writing has a way of enchanting you, forcing you to read her book. All in all, I found myself really enjoying Wings of Tavea and I can't wait to see where things are headed in the next book! Definitely a series that's not to be missed! less
