review 1: This book was very rushed over all. I read perhaps half of it, and in that half everything seemed to have already happened.. The couple/relationship/romance of the story was introduced within pages, and the rest of the book continues as a mixture of a hasty relationship and a terribly written and badly thought out "action" plot. The whole book comes across as very childish and rushed, and wasn't a good read at all. Due to being unable to actually finish the book, I hope I haven't misjudged it. But given what I did read was unbearable, I doubt the rest of the book can improve much more.
review 2: Let me start by saying I have never written a review before and i'm not really sure how much i'm supposed to write about or how much to give away. I am a hard core read... moreer, every chance I get I read. My favorite genre is YA Paranormal/ Paranormal Romance. The Light Tamer falls into this category. I bought this book because i am a fan of the author on facebook and decided to give it a try. WOW, i am so glad i did. I read it in just a couple of days, but this by no means, means it is a short book or not worth your time. It is just a very fast paced book right from the start, the first page captures your attention. The characters are beautifully written and emotional. Dawson pulls you in and doesn't let go. The Light Tamer focus' on 3 main characters and several important secondary characters, all of whom are essential to the story and become important to the reader. Book 2 Enlightened in the trilogy comes out Oct 1 2012 and i will certainly be first in line less
