review 1: Ok, so they say it is better to just rip a bandaid off and get the pain over with so here goes. I liked the book for the most part but it was very long (according to amazon 529 pages long) and some parts honestly I just skimmed over. What parts? Well the songs. I love when a book has songs mentioned in it. I can even handle a line or two of the song but I don't really want to spend my time reading lyrics to half a song all through out the book. Maybe that is just me but I'd rather just see what is going to happen to the characters and read what the story is about without having to have a page or two be lyrics. I did really like the story I just felt like there was a lot of unneeded information in it. I like Emilia and Logan. The characters were well built so you really g... moreot to know them. I also loved the idea of the story with the rich "playboy" who likes to party falling for the shy innocent middle class girl. So, because of the lyrics to several songs being written and just over all wordiness it made some of the book boring and hard to get through. Then on top of that there is a cliffhanger. I don't mind cliffhangers but when I have a 500+ page book I don't want a cliffhanger. I know this is a debut book and I know that new author learn a lot from their first books so I am hoping that Ms. Mannino learns and the next book will be better. Lucky for me I get to go right in to the next book.
review 2: Ok so I really took my time while reading this book. And WOW! I love how the author pulled you in form the very beginning. The characters were so easy to fall in love with. Emilia is this quite to herself girl who is trying to come out of her shell. There is a secret there that you try to figure out. Her roommate and best friend Bryn is one that every girl wishes that they could have. Bryn helps Emilia to come out of said shell and see that there is life outside of her studies and the library. In comes Logan Prescott! He is this all American guy that ever girls SWOONS after, except Emilia, who in turns see Logan as the self-centered, rich snob! Logan gets under Emilia skin just not they way Logan would like. He does get her to give him a chance though. Logan tries to get Emilia to see that he is a changed person. Logan use to be this bad boy but since meeting Emilia he starts to see things differently. He notices that life is more than just parties and women. The author Diane, doesn't skip over anything. She leads you through there day to day dating. I was so engulfed in this couples story. You never really find out what happened to Emilia until the last few pages of this book, and that is also when Logan show that maybe people can't change. I hope anyone how reads this book loves it as much as I did. I CAN NOT wait to read the 2nd book, Waiting For Romeo!! less
