review 1: Although I could sometimes kick the main character, Jennifer, for her inability to speak openly, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters, except Aurelio, who seemed very distant from everything, all had interesting, believable, and varied backgrounds, which was a large part of the attraction. The descriptions of the garden were also captivating, and other aspects were also well written. All in all much more than just a boring romance!
review 2: "Jennifer's Garden" by Dianne Venetta was not a book I found interesting or enjoyable. The story centers around Jennifer, a busy doctor, whose mother is dying. Jennifer seemed slightly snobbish as did her mother. She meets with a landscaper her friend recommended she use to get her garden in order for
... moreher wedding. When Jennifer meets with Jackson Montgomery, the landscaper, who was also the bartender at her friends recent party, she seemed judgmental towards him. In her mind she thought a bartender couldn't be a landscaper. She came across as snobbish and a little bitchy. I put the book aside since I was having a hard time to stay interested. The main character just did not sit well with me. I must admit that I forced myself to finish reading. The book did not become any more interesting to me the more I read. less
