review 1: Sweet romance with a Christmas twist. This short story grabs the reader from the first chapter and the happy ending is almost perfect. This is a story of loss, life and love. Christy and Aaron are brought together under unusual circumstances and their love is borne out of common tragedies, but good can come out of heartache if one just opens up their heart. Fasano is adept at telling a big story in a few words, she takes you through a roller coaster ride of emotions but lets you land with a smile. Good story any time of the year. Highly recommended
review 2: Where to even begin? I absolutely loved this book! Donna Fasano has written a novella that completely captures the emotions, pain, struggles, and love that each of the characters is feeling and dealing with... more. Although this is a novella, it does not feel rushed, nor does it feel like something is lacking, or that more words could have made it better. The author was spot on with the length of the story and the descriptiveness which made me have to grab a tissue more than once, but also made me smile more than once. It was just the right balance, and I came away from the story being so much more grateful for the many blessings that I have, and with a greater sense of compassion for those that have gone through what Christy, Aaron, and Izzie went through. Donna Fasano has written an absolutely beautiful story that will leave you saying, "I absolutely loved it!" **I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. less
