Choosing Love
review 1: I loved this book. I rated it 5 stars before and I still do, but am now going to give a review to encourage more people to give it a try. The author has put this book free on Smashwords until Christmas to celebrate the release of the 4th book in her "Choosing Love" Series. I would encourage anyone who loves romance books to read this one. It's awesome. You can read this book and stop there - it's not a cliff hanger. This book is the 1st in the "Choosing Love" Series and it introduces you to the heroine, Bronwyn, as well as all of the heroes for the whole series (5 heroes in all). I would advise anyone to read this book and see if you like it. The only word of warning i will give is that you will fall in love with Bronwyn, her hero, plus the other 4 heroes right off... more the bat and then want to read the other 4 books in the series. But that's o.k. - the books are very affordable. Each book in the series is named after the heroine. The 5 heroes all work together, and there is a lot of inter-connectedness in the books - which is really fun. But, as I said, you can read Bronwyn's Stand and stop there if you want. It's a complete story. p.s. i seem to have selected the wrong format - i read this book as an e-book, not a paperback :-o
review 2: This book had so much potential and yet it fell a bit flat at times. Bronwyn was an abused child and her father was her abuser. She's 26 and her father is still out there. She's a strong and intelligent character but she feels almost too perfect and Vincent falls for her on site and starts trying to make it with her when he should be protecting her. Its Vincent that I had the hardest time with in this story. At times his feelings for Bronwyn took precedent over his professional duties. In fact in many instances he wasn't very professional at all, and it made him a bit unlikable. The team he assembled to protect Bronwyn was another story. Each guy had their own quirky nickname, Poet, Hollywood, Preacher...Vincent was Einstein. I really loved them and when Vince was out of the picture, they stole the show. I wish that the situation with her father would have taken more precedence over the relationship. I really wanted to know what prompted the abuse and why he still wanted to torment his daughter. The suspenseful part of the story really took a backburner to the romance that was quite a whirlwind. In a matter of days, Bronwyn and Vincent were in love...and thus engaged. It was almost fairytale like, but with something more sinister than a wicked stepmother hanging over their head. The ending was a bit of a surprise. I certainly wasn't expecting the twist E. Kelly delivered. This was a good quick read. Perfect for a day at the beach or the park less

Why did I bother. Unbelievable from Chapter 1. How unprofessional could Vincent Lane be.
