review 1: This short I really really loved. It was extremely well written and it was historical. My very first love affair with romance came from a historical romance so for me to sink back into a genre I haven't really read in awhile was so refreshing for me. It was a tale of a woman that seemed to be in a romance that was forbidden. She was also a single woman in a time where it would have ruined her name to be sleeping with a man before she was married. And let me tell you about the sex in this short! I got a little warm inside. Talk about your alpha male! I never thought I could discover an alpha in a human male and find myself giddy. I love a man that takes charge in bed and where she tries to play the one leading, ha! He leads her right into one hell of a hot scene! Highly reco... moremmended hot read! I mean its free, you can't really lose. And if you feel you have, well, you lose maybe ten minutes of your day.
review 2: There wasn't much of a plot here... Mick and Emma go down and dirty on the 3rd page and that's it for the rest of the story. He proposes on the last page and they live HEA. The End.I've read quickies with a similar "plot" that worked for me, basically because the author somehow managed to make me connect with the H/h in a few paragraphs. That didn't happen here, so I couldn't enjoy the story. Bummer! less

Probably would have been better if I had read the preceding books and had a clue what was going on.
