review 1: I love how reliable Emily Snow is as an author- If I am looking for a great read, I know I can pick up any of her books and be satisfied. Avery "Willow" is an actress fresh out of rehab who is looking for a fresh start....until she is thrust back into the spotlight to work on a remake of "Tidal". As if the stress of working isn't enough, the feelings her surfing instructor, Cooper, evoke from her are hard to deny. Both are hiding truths from each other and when exposed, they will test their relationship.Though some of the subject matter is intense, I found Emily Snow presented it rather well. I did find myself waiting for an explosion to occur but when it didn't I was still satisfied with how everything was resolved.
review 2: I really enjoyed Willow and Cooper
... more's story. It had just the right amount of angst and emotional pull, yet was light and sweet enough to be exactly the type of book I was in the mood to read. My heart went out to Willow. Yes, she had made some mistakes in her life, but it was so sad how she had no support from her family or friends once she left rehab. Despite how much she was tempted to go back to her old life, I admired her determination to live her life on the straight and narrow. I couldn't imagine how difficult it was for her to be all alone and then thrust immediately into a new movie role. Willow was a strong person, yet she was also sensitive to how she and her career were perceived by others.I loved Cooper and how he saw and loved the real Willow. Although Cooper let it be known right away that he had a distaste for Hollywood, he was not shy about letting Willow know that he felt something different when he was around her. They had some intense chemistry, and the sexual tension between the two definitely had me reading quickly to see what would happened next. Even though Cooper saw exactly who Willow was and wanted to help her, she was scared to take the leap and let him love her. Both had some major secrets that certainly surprised me, but in the end I just loved who they were when they were together. I also really liked the secondary characters and the support they gave Willow. They were more of a family to her than her parents. The epilogue was teary perfection and wonderful way to end the book. This was definitely another winner from Emily Snow. less
