review 1: So.. I'm not sure what to say about this book. I'm not too shy of the more.... "adult" themes in the books I've read, but this book crossed a line. Basically this book glorifies mental disorders, rape, physical and mental abuse and then twists it so the reader is supposed to interpret it as love. I'm not sure how this got a rating of 3+ on goodreads.... I just found it to be a very sad tale of a boy with mental issues who had been abused in his past and a girl who is too weak to stand up for herself and look at what the situation really is. Where are all of our strong female main character roles??!

I think that he was so physically attractive, that he was not the most subversive in his family, and that when he was "good"- he was quite lovable, were all effective tools in making him seem less the monster than he really was... less
