review 1: A VERY interesting book about the factors (innovation that is exponential, digital, and recombinant) driving technological progress in, the authors argue, quite unprecedented ways. While generally fairly optimistic about the outlook, the book also has a healthy interest in ways new digital technology does disrupt, if not dissolve, workforce opportunities, and interesting suggestions for near-term and longer-term policies regarding education, infrastructure, market regulation, and taxation.
