Love & Inheritance Trilogy
review 1: This is the second book in the trilogy and the Hedleigh/Dilberne aristocratic family. As with the first, I had a hard time liking the characters because most of the were just cold and rude when dealing with society. I did warm up a little to Lady Isobel, the Countess of Dilberne, only because she seemed lost while the world changed around her. I missed the point of view of the "downstairs" that was so prevalent in the first book. I suppose the storyline of Ivy and her fall into providing charlatan seances took over this role.
review 2: Ah! How refreshing. This a light and rather happy read. It's the second within a trilogy but you don't HAVE to read the first prior to this. The book gives bits and pieces of the background so you're never lost. The pace is n
... moreeither slow nor rushed. I read the book in practically a day or so. I thoroughly enjoyed it as it was rather easy going and quick. The story itself I suppose is average? I say that because nothing jaw dropping occurs. It's a story of a family in the early 1900's who are in the upper echelon of society. I would recommend this book to someone looking for a historical fiction story focused on England, early 1900's, and the tribulations of family life. Good beach read now that I come to think of it!! less

Not as engaging as Downton Abbey, but can't resist reading books on the English social system.
