review 1: Cat lovers shouldn’t miss this little gem—hysterical and wise short poems recited by the ever-cool cat. Calling it a “fast read” is an understatement—it will take you all of 15 minutes, at most, to read it. Well, you might stop to savor some of the poems a little longer, but it’s still over way before you want it to be. And you will laugh, even if you’re having a bad day.The aloof but dear, brilliant creatures tell us all about their adventures with toys and why they end up tearing the house apart (sometimes innocently, sometimes not). They explain, in few words, how we should meet their many needs. We see the world through their eyes, and it confirms what we already know: they’re quirky geniuses who entertain us without even trying. In one poem, a cat tell... mores us how relocating is just not okay. The confused guy asks, “How did the kitchen move across the floor? Who changed all the homes outside? Why are you mispronouncing ‘Georgia’ as ‘New York’?”Here’s one complete poem:“I lick your nose. I lick your nose again. I drag my claws down your eyelids. Oh, you’re up? Feed me.”A super cool little book, with many high-quality photos of cats included. My daughter gave me this book for Mother’s Day. It’s a great gift for yourself and for your favorite cat lovers. 5 stars, without question.
review 2: I'm a crazy cat lady. Any other crazy cat ladies (and gents), pick this up. It's a fast read, it's really funny, and you will read every poem and think "yep, mine do that." I felt especially lucky because of the sheer number of cute pictures that involve orange tabbies. I'm a mom to two orange tabbies and they have the most outgoing personalities of any breed--they may as well be toddlers. It seems like poems and jokes about troublesome and misbehaving cats are often accompanied by pictures of orange tabbies and I know exactly why. They are why I can't have nice things. My own poem, just for them:We break everything. We are why you don't have decorations. We are why you don't have nice dishes. We run for no reason. We run for every reason. We can't sleep in your room.We can't be alone for too long.We love to show you how much we care.We love being with you literally every second. We are orange tabbies. We are furry children. We are why you can't have nice things. But you love us. less
