review 1: This book is a must for Elvis fans. I really enjoyed this story of his last romance and his life . This book left me wondering what if he had married Ginger and had more children and went on entertaining audiences as only he could. I enjoyed reading about Elvis as a loving father. I was impressed reading about the books he read regularly and his knowledge of may philosophies and religions. This book also documents Elvis's generous nature to those around him. This book motivated me to get out my Elvis CDs and invest in a few new ones and listen to his music with new admiration and respect for this iconic man.
review 2: Although I love reading anything written about Elvis, I found myself getting frustrated with the style in which this book was written. I underst... moreand that Ginger Alden's goal was to disclose information about her time spent with Elvis in a way that portrayed him as being gentle, kindhearted, and generous. However, I found her to be naive and inexperienced about life and Elvis as well through her writing. Elvis was Elvis no matter what he did, and to an avid and dedicated fan for more than fifty years, I really didn't care about her making a point about his personality. I enjoyed reading facts about the only entertainer who always will be my favorite, no matter what he has done or said in the past. less
