review 1: A really enjoyable read. DeLisle, as always, handles the humor well with his wonderful attention to pacing and simple but expressive drawings. The pricing of this volume is disgraceful though. A small black and white paperback on very cheap pulpy paper (yellowing before my very eyes!) that even the slowest reader could read cover to cover in half an hour should not be seventeen dollars. Period. Dick move Drawn & Quarterly.
review 2: A very fun little book by Delisle. I know him from his monumental accounts, like the incredibly masterful "Jerusalem". This book is very different in tone, but not entirely in scope. It only took about ten minutes to read and it wasn't that funny.

Not as funny or poignant as it thinks it is.
