review 1: A great book on Post Roman/Early Anglo-Saxon history. Its funny that the premise of the book is that Arthur was probably not a real person and that many have used his story to sell books over the years, while Guy Halsall is doing exactly that. This book isn't so much about Arthur, as about the early Anglo-Saxon period and occasionally about the lack of evidence of a historical Arthur. But the history is well presented and reasoned. A good read to learn about the period.
