review 1: I received this book in exchange of an honest review...OK... so O M G! This book is not what I was expecting and in a very good way. OK, so you might be like me and it might take you a few chapters to get the hang of it. To be honest, at the beginning it is a little bit confusing but please, please, don't stop. Keep going, cause it is just so nice to find a book that takes your preconceived ideas of good vs evil and turns them upside down. OK, maybe not upside down but at least reminds you that nothing is black and white. The heroine is pretty likable, things happen at a different pace (usually faster than normal), not everything gets solved (leaving you asking for more, but in a good way) and in general I liked most of the characters that needed to be liked and despised t... morehose that needed it too. The best part is that the lore is so different from what you might be used to when it comes to Angels and Demons. Hope the next books are as great if not better than this one. Please Ms Hanna Peach, don't disappoint me. Cannot wait to read the other books and hopefully find out why the heck God kicked them out of Heaven, cause I seriously doubt Lucifer had anything to do with that. Or at least not in the way the Elders claim.
review 2: I was given this book to write a honest review through the group Never Too Old For Y.A. & N.A. I really dont know where to start!The author did an amazing job with this book, I was gripped from the word go. The concept of the story is unlike any book I have read previously.I didnt know what to expect from this book maybe I was under the illusion that the angels would have wings a be all peace loving etc how wrong was I.The characters were so likable the main heroine Alyx is such a strong character yet she has a very humane vulnerability about her, Israel is very down to earth and protective he often forgets he is mortal but, with such fearce emotions it takes you away with him.I found myself smiling at so many parts of this book aswell as gripping my kindle thinking no dont let that happen lol.Like I said the author did a fantastic job on this one! Need I say once I've finished this review I am definitely starting book two!!!thank you so much for the opportuiniy to read this great book! less
