review 1: A contemporary romantic fairy tale with a wonderful happily ever after. I thought the story was fun - and I love the fake relationship trope - and sweet and I adored Daniel. The romance was lovely, I liked that Alyx and Daniel developed a genuine friendship first, a liking and respect for each other before it turned into more.Alyx was a likable character. She's driven, she throws herself whole-heartedly into the task before her, whether it was preparing for an acting job or living up to her end of the bargain with Daniel by becoming a princess.Daniel is definitely a prince with his damsel rescuing ways, undertaking a quest on the damsel's behalf, how he worried about Alyx, made sure she had a supply of ice cream, was smart and generous and kind.And Victor! Victor was a fun... more addition, throughout the book I imagined him as the pageant coach from Miss Congeniality. I'm so excited that this is a series, I look forward to reading Long's next book in the Going Royal series, Some Like It Scandalous!Ebook provided in exchange for an honest review
review 2: When an aspiring actress receives an offer to act as a billionaire's fiancé, you would think she would jump at the chance, right?! Not Alyx! Daniel approaches her with his crazy scheme while she is sleeping in her car and she distrusts his sincerity AND his sanity! When he tells her that he has proof that she is really a long-lost European princess, she is convinced he is around the bend, but some persuading from the handsome software guru and some hard evidence of his claimed to her heritage convince the feisty red-head to accept the role for 1 year. Now, sit. Back, relax, and let the fireworks begin! Watching Alyx become a princess was fun and the romance was hot! I really liked this story and would recommend it as a fun, witty, sexy read! less
