review 1: I enjoyed this book because I'm highly interested in the subject matter. I enjoyed getting to know the foreign policy successes and failures beyond the Asia beat that I cover at the State Department.The writing was okay, but not gripping on its own. She gave light treatment to a lot of issues. Instead of heavy treatment to a few. She also pulled a lot of punches against the administration that other former administration officials have not pulled in there respective memoirs.
review 2: Of course this is a book written by a politician, but that doesn't detract from its merit. Although the narrative is stilted in places, it makes for a good read. Reliving the events through Secretary Clinton's eyes helped to clarify their impacts for me. She is a remarkable wom... morean who has devoted her life to public service.
