review 1: A Sweet Affair (Atlanta Affair #2) by Isabella Rae continues the friendship between Victoria and Sage, when Sage arrives at Victoria's doorstep asking for help. Separated for three years, Sage ran to her best friend when her life is turned upside down by her husband, Scott. Victoria welcomes her with open arms and helps her to heal by opening a bake shop together, a dream Sage has always wanted. Through Victoria and her man, Leland, Sage meets Connor, a beautiful man inside and out who is taken with her immediately. But Sage's past life has always been a secret and she is not ready to talk about it to anymore. Her trust in men has been broken and she puts Connor off as much as possible. Then Scott walks back into her life and terrifies Sage even more than she ever expected... more.Book 1 and Book 2 flow into each other very easily and introduce us to the wonderful life Victoria has found with Leland. The story flows smoothly as Victoria wants to help her friend build a new life, knowing she can't ask any questions until Sage is ready. Scott's return builds up the suspense action and drags the reader in immediately as to how Sage is going to get herself out of this one. But Connor is ready and willing to save the day and the woman he loves! I enjoyed both books very much and now await Book 3 which will be out in 2014.
review 2: I was sent an ARC of this book for an honest review so here goes.... :) A sweet affair is the second part of the Atlanta Series. It's about Victoria's friend Sage and Lelands friend Connor.As we know from the first book A workplace affair Sage and Victoria have been friends for years. They went years without seen each other until one day Sage turned up at Victoria's. Sage had been married to Scott. And no the marriage was not good. But she felt stuck is how I see it. Until one day she gets home from the bakery she works at the find Scott is cheating on her. He actually had the ball's to cheat! After this Sage decides tomorrow will be the best day ever. The day she leave's him behind to start a fresh life were she can open a bakery whats she's always wanted. That is until she wakes up with the hall door closing only to find Scott and her life savings gone. With a letter telling her he was gone and not to try find him. Enter shocked face right here! Even thought she was leaving his she's crushed. He took her whole life savings that was meant to be for her bakery AND her mother ring. Low life of the highest degree.Anyways,time passes she move's on. Not fully but she's getting there. Finally running a bakery with her best friend Victoria things are starting to pick up. And someone finally catch's her eye.... Enter Connor the overly sexy Chef. From the sounds of things he sound's like a model not someone who slaves away in a kitchen ;) Connor wants Sage so bad. And he has done for month's. But poor Sage is so afraid to open herself up again. After everything Scott done she's a shell of the girl she wants to be. But somehow our Connor knocks down them walls she's put up one at a time. She finally starts seen whats in front of her eye's with him,and opens up about her past. Telling him things that she's never told anyone even Victoria. But she feels this connection to him and willingly open's up.Things are going good with them,and just when she thinks the past in where it should be it come's back to bite her in the butt. Someone who should be well gone show's up at her door and turn's her world up side down again. I won't say what happen's but grab this book and find out for yourself! Can't wait for the next book in this series :) less
