review 1: That was just delightful! The beauty of the broken human being can be found in the harshest of deserts or in the desolation of the most thriving city. Here they all are found and healed in the pages of a love story.I cannot retell the story for it should be allowed to be discovered by the reader. And uncovered in the descriptions of gorgeous landscapes and the delightful characters. No more to be said, I bought it, I read it and I loved it!
review 2: I didn't expect this. I've read reviews and I knew it would be a nice, calm short story.I fell in love, simple as it is. With Daniel and Sam, with the desert, the sun, the rain, the sounds, the rocks. With every little detail that was written down lovingly. With every cranky and freeing emotion. I'll probably never
... more walk to the Red Heart (duh, I live in Switzerland). But I feel like I have been walking with them. It's been a while since a story has gripped me just by the description of the coolness between the rock, the cold of the water or the feeling of mud on your skin. A look, a touch, a moment......*sigh*Maybe it's just me - but for me this short story is a gem. less
