review 1: This book was really good.All starts when Deamonds and Aejels are forced to live on the same ship in the space,one of the intergalactic council ships,this happens because suddely their sun dies and for this their world too.The sexual tension so deep u could use a knife to cut it.It's a shame the book was short and i'd like a sequel,bcs i love the main chars.Mykel is not the usual shy and inexperienced lover,but fights,is stubborn,gets angry and can become cold if one hurts him,and when he has sex,is not just for pleasure is something more,It's love.Lusaffar is a strong warrior,fierce,and is stubborn,egocentric and arrogant,but when he meets Mykel he falls hard and without even realizing it,till when the other youn man tells him,he doesnt want just a one time thing(before t... morehey really sleep togetether),after that Mykel goes away,leaving the other stunned in place,and ignores him for over 2 days.In the end Lusaffar understands that what he wants from his old enemy wasnt never a simple pleasurable release,but he was bonding with him,his possessive and hurts his heart like hell when he is not with him,till he think life couldnt make sense if he lose Mykel.When they finally make love,is sexy,messy,a fight for command,and is awesome.When Mykel almost dies for poisoning,he stays 3 days sleeping in a chair near the younger man bed.The 1st scene where u start understands how Lusaffar feels about Mykel,pratically the younger male falls in his arms pushed back but an improvvise movement,and Lusaffar sees him withdraw two bloody fingers from his mounth,and then starts growling.When they make love Lusaffar starts their mating biting his lover's neck and drinking his blood,but if not until Mykel almost dies again and the older man saves him,that he tells the other male to finish their bonding.Mykel puts his mounth on the little cut Lusaffar made on his own neck and then drinks.They're mates now,and they're beautiful together.Still fight,still both stubborn and not giving up on their ideas,but in love.In the final part of the book,Lusaffar tells Mykel tha to him,he is the most important thing, that he is it for him,and the other replies he loves him.The Deamond smiles and kisses the Aejel,they're the leaders of their races and with their love there will be pace.The book has an open end the real eney who tried to kill Mykel and the others wasnt the one Lusaffar killed to protect his mate,no one knows that the mind behind it all is still alive.I'd like really a lot to read a sequel,hoping that the main chars will continue to be in love and protective,stubborn and killing us with their misunderstanding bcs are 2 idiots and u'll love them.One of the scene that made me smile,is one of the last where Lusaffar is starting arguing with Admiral Jaynous and Mykel stands up,the Deamond is soo distracted that instinctively follow his mates and stops arguing,the admiral understands the subtle action of the Aejel,and inside smiles,thinking that Lusaffar didnt even cach on it. I love their personalities and how Mykel is also strong and smart,while the fierce Deamond near him seems a puppy XD(ignore my grammar and go read the book!!!!!)
review 2: Nothing makes me happier than characters I loved, and I loved these ones. Especially the way that Mykel was no pushover in anything - command, arguments, sex - maybe taking command isn't his natural instinct (it seemed to me that he quite liked others taking care of things, when it did happen), but when he decides to take command, he certainly does.With the blushing and whatnot, I thought we'd have a very typical sex scene. The fact that Mykel ended up controlling it, even though he didn't start in control, was a surprise, and a delightful one.Always a fan of opposites attract, and here it works well, considering that both men have the shared duty and the responsibilities that come with it. While they go about things differently, I feel that their values are the same.All in all, a quick, wonderful read, with adorable and interesting characters. I spotted at least one other potential coupling, and I really can't wait to see how they play out in this world :D less
