review 1: With Jan Thomas' amazingly vibrant and humor filled illustrations and wonderful word bubble text, my story time audience found this book laugh-out-loud-funny. The Easter Bunny is trying to give the reader very serious step-by-step lessons in creating beautiful Easter eggs. He is joined by his assistant, Skunk, who finds the whole process very exciting. The problem is when a skunk gets excited….Skunk is put outside (step 4: remove skunk from room) but is able to return to help the Easter Bunny hide the eggs…outside.
review 2: Known in these parts as "that skunk book". The Easter Bunny is trying to teach the reader how to dye eggs, with Skunk's assistance. But sadly, Skunk keeps getting too excited about the beautiful eggs, and we all know what happens when
... more skunks get excited. Will the Easter Bunny find a way to survive the smell? Or will he have to get rid of Skunk? I personally find this one a little dumb. But Eleanor giggles and giggles every time. Jan Thomas gets 2.5-year-old humor I guess. less
