review 1: This is another great rhyming book. Each farm friend helps the other farm friend who gets stuck in the mud. The first farm friend stuck is the baby chick, it turns out at the end the baby chick was never stuck in the mud but she didn't tell anyone until everyone else was stuck in the mud. The animals were working together.Learning Experience: This is a book that you could use to teach teamwork. We could do a game that would require communication and teamwork to solve.
review 2: In this story, a mother hen's chick is stuck in the mud, and many animals come to try to rescue her baby. But the little chick has a surprise! I used this story as part of a mud-themed bilingual story time program. The kids really enjoyed saying the names of the animals and making a... morell the animal sounds. I also really like the bright and cheerful illustrations. I will definitely use this book again. less
