review 1: I'm sorry, but I have a hard time with a story where the guy is basically a rich, powerful, dressed up bully used to getting what he wants and using sex as a means of persuasion. And worse, I have no respect for a female who basically rolls over and gives in to whatever the guy wants while she keeps saying her intentions are the opposite of his plans, all due to her raging libido. Way to wishy-washy for me to buy how suddenly she has her HEA because he pulled out a ring. Part of the problem may be the length of this novella, but the author didn't give me any sense of deep feelings or respect for the other from either character. I rate this story two and a half stars.
review 2: Predictable, but cute. It was a free read from iBooks, so I'm not complaining...too... more much. I just didn't quite like how easy Shannon was. (I know, but that's just how I feel. lol) In the beginning it at least appeared as though she was going to make him work for it, but that thought was gone by the next sentence. Rory was a great character, though. I felt like the author could have really built up on his character alone. less
