review 1: I'm curious to see the film adaptation. I have a character in one of my own stories that gets hit by a cab and has a similar "polar shift" from regular guy to successful artist, so I hope it doesn't become a cliche, but rather an opportunity to explore the boundary of creativity and brain function/health, which I think is Jason's objective. But who knows how the story will get distorted in the process. Understanding synesthesia for those that don't have it is subjective to say the least. I suspect the book already has quite a bit of confabulation and the film with amplify it.
review 2: His personal story and some parts of the descriptions of math and brain functions were fascinating. However, it seemed to get bogged down in redundancy and over-explanations at
... moretimes. From a writing standpoint, his paragraph development could be better. Many times his flow would make a hard turn mid-paragraph which was challenging at times. It was a good book though. His discussion of the coexistence and intermingling of philosophy and physics was very thought provoking. less

Fascinating story though the writing itself isn't riveting. Still worth the read.
