review 1: I found this book a light and quick read...The main charcter Amber was really annoying as was her love interest but I found the other supporting charcters like Angel and Clare much more likable, my favourtie character was Devon he was the most real out of all the character's for me.I really liked the Shadow World where Devon is from and I wish there had been more of the Shadow world in the book, Jayde Scott only gave us a slight insight and it left me with a lot of un-answered questions...The writing wasn't that bad in some parts but could have been more thought-out, mainly with the characters personalities some of them were a bit meh, I find it to be too over the top and not how I think teenagers would speak. This book is only #1 in a series of 6, I'm not sure if I will c... moreontinue on, I do want to find out more about the Shadow World but not sure if I could read the other books :/
review 2: I enjoyed this book. It had me laughing quite a lot. The story was interesting.There were a few things I didn't like. First, most of the time the conversations between characters were really one sided, like no body actually listened to each other and responded. It was kinda weird.Second, Keiren, sigh, he could have been a really good character, I like a good snark battle as much as any one but he was just over the top. It was way too much.Third, its just plain weird that no one sees fit to explain anything to Amber, I mean if it was me I wouldn't be risking my life for them without a dam explanation.Anyway, I had a good laugh but I'm not sure I will continue the series. less
