review 1: I recommend this book to kids 7th grade through 8th grade because it's mostly 2-3 sentence paragraphs with pictures on every single page. Greg Heffley is in deep trouble when his best friend Rowley leaves his side because of a fight they got into. Greg will have to live his life for some time without any friends in middle school. Greg goes through some time waiting to go through puberty when he finds out it might be a long time. He goes from weddings to missing the bus to getting a maid that sleeps in his bed while he's not home.I liked this book because it was full of humor and the parts I thought were funny were when Greg found out when the maid was taking naps in his bed while he was at school, and when Rowley thought he was cool because of extremely large zit. When Gre... moreg broke his arm because he sat on the toilet so long and fell down when he stood because his legs were asleep. When Greg eat the cold spaghetti when Rodrick tricked Greg into thinking that his Spaghetti was piping hot.My favorite part from the book was when Greg and Rowley became friends again and Rowley tried to get Greg to wear a girls locket saying "BFFS" in a heart shape. That was my favorite part because it was humorous and a happy part in the book because *One* Rowley and Greg are friends again. (Happy Part). *Two* Rowley tries to get Greg to wear a heart shaped locket that is saying "BFFS".
review 2: Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Ugly Truth is about a boy named Greg and his friend Rowley. Greg and Rowley used to be best friends until they got mad at each other. Greg and Rowley get invited to one of Jordan Jury's parties which are legendary. Greg can't go to the party because he has to go to his Uncle's wedding, Rowley still goes but it turns out Jordan just wanted them to come so they could serve him and his friends. Greg and Rowley go to a lock in at school and there's nothing to do there so they end playing with each other and become friends again.I would recommend this book to people who like funny books. My favorite part of this book was when Greg and Rowley became friends again. I thought there was a valuable lesson in this book. I thought the valuable lesson in this book was all because you get in a fight with your friend doesn't mean you shouldn't be friends. less
