review 1: A somewhat interesting read, but the one question that plagued me throughout was - "Who was this book written for?" The author seems to spend a lot of time explaining what women generally already intuitively know, leading me to believe that his target readership is either men in general, or himself specifically. But the stories of the book, it seems to me, would really only interest women. Baffling. but not worth the effort of figuring out.
review 2: When I saw that the author was Jeffrey Zaslow, I shuddered. He was the author of the dreadful The Last Lecture and I almost vomited reading the feel good platitudes. One thing that directly affects them is the tragic death of Sheila Walsh. I grew up in a small town and so many of the things they did rang true when I was growing to become a young woman. less
