Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops

review 1: Between working at an art gallery, starting a new web site and working at a magazine, I managed to find some time to read, since I had 2 days off (Christmas!!!!). So I wanted something funny, easy and not huuuuuge to read, just to relax a little bit and get my mind off of everything. And I think I made the right choice! It was soooo good and funny. There are 3 sections in the book. The first two refer to two particular bookshops and the third one contains weird things customers say in various bookshops around the world. It's light, funny, entertaining and the illustrations work sooo well.Some things are really crazy and you couldn't believe that people said that, but guess what? They did! People asking if there are any other books by Jane Eyre or if Charles Dickens wrote a... morenything fun... Or a man asking if they have black and white film posters, wanting one with Adolf Hitler, being sure he was an actor, an American or probably Jewish one... I mean, you would think people would know about Adolf Hitler!!!!When you need something to make you feel good, that's the book to read!
review 2: 1st October, 2014Nice quick read, took me about an hour to read through on this occasion.Even though I've heard some of them many times now I still find them very funny. I always look out for my favourites.I forgot about a lot of the illustrations so I enjoyed looking at those again. I've got my favourites there too.Decided to read the sequel right afterwards.14th April, 2012Really, really cool to read a book by someone I know.Liked the illustrations, they were very funny. There were a few bits I would have liked to have had pictures for.A very quite read. Was familiar with some of the quotes but loads were new to me.Good to read when there's someone to share the funniest bits with. less
