review 1: I really related to a lot of these essays, even though the author has been to MANY more weddings than I have. One thing I enjoyed was how much she emphasized the emotions of what she herself was going through at each wedding, rather than just the decor or what the food was. She says at some point that the wedding guests WILL have their own stories at your wedding and I felt like this book really showed that.
review 2: I made it through the first chapter and a half and just couldn't do anymore. Jen Doll's book detailing accounts of weddings she has attended starts off with a slogging-though-quicksand first chapter written with paragraphs of huge descriptive lists that feel lengthy and pointless. The second chapter covers a wedding she attended in Jamaica at wh

The chapter was meandering, pointless and over detailed on the less important things (do I really need to know what the bartender was wearing when he has absolutely no bearing on the story other than being there to hand her a drink?) and lacking in any real point. less
