review 1: Yeah this story was a flop. Could have done so much better and didn't. Hated the witch hunter, he was such a annoying ass. Shame on Drake for changing him just to torment him. I was sad to see that holy water did not change them back into normal people. It's fantasy, hey it could've happened. It'sa nice tie up to a long story, but not that great. The ending was flat and boring. Just ended with a big fight then flop.
review 2: This is, I believe, the final book in the McDonell/MacKay family saga that Jen Holling has written to date. While I didn't hate it, it is my least favorite book of the series. It was an easy read but I could not warm up to the hero at all. He did so many things that made me shake my head and a few that made absolutely no sense at all... li
... moreke making the heroine believe he didn't love her and send her off to keep her out of harms way during the final battle, yet he was ready to leave the final battle before it even started to make sure she was okay. Uh? I didn't see the point. Maybe I missed something in my reading. Anyway, I still absolutely love Jen Holling's style of writing and look forward to reading more by her. less

Blood witches, siths, promises that must be kept. Lots of fantasy stuff. Not my cup of tea.
