review 1: I really enjoyed this book. I found that the writing flowed very well and I read through it rather quickly. The story really kept a hold of my attention and I read this in one sitting. The characters are all well developed, complex, and full of surprises. I never knew what would happen next, who Lina should trust or not trust, and (best of all) who she might end up with. I was actually taken by surprise as the story reached it's climax. I had a suspicion that something was up, but for some reason I didn't see it coming. I really had intense feelings about everything that happened throughout the book, which is terrific. I love reading a book that makes me feel strongly for the characters.I also read the prequel to this story and loved it as well. It is a pretty sad tale, ac... moretually. It left an impression on me. I basically retold the entire story, both the book and the prequel novella, to my husband after reading them. I couldn't just tell him part of it, or what it was about, without going into a lot of detail. I am trying not to do that here!I recommend these books to everyone that enjoys a great story that is well written, has believable characters, and has a twist to it. I enjoyed the idea of six inch tall people (not fairies) that are created by scientists. Not that I would want that to happen in real life! I just enjoy it as a story idea and would love to read more about it. Disclosure: I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. I was not required to write a positive review.
review 2: I was really excited when I read the synopsis of Damselfly and really wanted to participate in this blog tour. In general terms I loved the book, it has all the elements that make a book a captivating one: interesting plot, refreshing story line, kick ass heroine, fantasy and impossible romance. But there were some gaps in the plot while the story was developing that felt off, like while little people were the answer to humanity. I am hoping this issue will be solved in future books.I loved Lina as protagonist, she is brave, romantic and really smart. Jack was the perfect guy and I want to read more about him because the little glimpses were so good! I definitely want to read more about this odd couple. All the mystery around the experiment and the cliffy end got me on the edge. I can´t wait to read the next book!!! less
