review 1: Love Storm is written by Jennifer McNare. It is a short book but very good. Brooklyn Foster is headed for her sister's cabin in Vail. She is driving the treacherous roads in the middle of a winter storm. She just hopes she makes it to the cabin quickly and without any trouble. She is looking forward to staying a week at the cabin and really resting. Ryan Landry is staying at his friend's cabin in Vail after sustaining a head injury while playing football. He is staying here because his place is being worked on and he needs solitude. Little does he know that Brooklyn is on her way. Brooklyn finds Ryan at the cabin and panics. She has had a crush on him since she was eighteen. Now he was here and she was stranded at the cabin with him. What will he think of her now.... more After all, he rejected her eighteen years ago.
review 2: Zero character development and poorly written. The author does an excellent job of stating the obvious. At one point she describes the hero as "looking like the Michelin Man, the well-known symbol of the Michelin tire company". Who else would the Michelin Man represent? While out snowmobiling H/h encounter "several other riders along the way, fellow men, women and children". Who else would be riding snow mobiles? Elk? Deer? Gnomes? The author does a lot of telling and little showing, and her dialogue is completely flat. At one point H/h stop to admire the view:"Isn't this a marvelous view?" she said, once she'd pulled off her helmet."I'll say," Ryan agreed.I can't recommend this novella and I won't be reading any other of this author's books. less

I love a trashy romance every now and then but it was too shallow for me.
