review 1: This truly was a wonderful book...for some reason it made me yearn for the catechism classes of my childhood. The stories about having a guardian angel and Lucifer the fallen angel and the power of goodness. I know...sounds silly...but this book was anything but that. It had strong fascinating characters and a really intense plot and just enough bad girl stuff to make it fun. I was lost in this book. I was with Teagen as she struggled to be the light that defeats Lucifer...the source of all evil. All of my childhood feelings about Heaven and Hell surfaced while reading this book. Even Brynn...the horrible bully bad girl of all time...was a riveting character in this book. Teagen...main character of both books...is likeable and real and powerful. What won't she accom... moreplish with both Garreth and Hadrian watching out for her. I don't know what was more mesmerizing...Garreth with his white softer than velvet wings and piercing blue eyes or Hadrian with black as night leathery wings and his own mesmerizing green eyes. I have no clue if there is a third book in this series...this one ended with a few questions. I put off reading this book but now after finishing both...I get it...I finally get why this is such an addictive series. Jennifer Murgia did a fabulous job with this book.
review 2: Angel Star captivated me with elegance and the substance in which Tegan and her beautiful guardian angel Garret’s story is narrated; Lemniscate enchanted me in the world painted by Murgia’s words. Lemniscate continues Tegan’s story with knowledge on the truth of the spiritual world around her and its consequences. What really makes the story shine is its base, angelology is an active part where it has some strong base in terms of world building and continuity, but its major attractive is that in its simplicity lies a unique beauty. The story’s spiritual plot line plays a role that unites the characters in a very symbolic way as the Lemniscate symbol is represented on the cover for this literary presentation. Tegan, Garret and Hadrian among other characters will face the consequences from their decisions that will take them to their fates. This is no typical sequel, on the contrary, in its supernatural base; the story counts with a real touch that will make both aspects collide with grace. Readers will comprehend bonds between characters are based on human and realistic experiences like love, loss and the capability to move on by being spiritually reborn. Murgia is characterized in this literary presentation for enamour the readers by delivering the reality of the human essence to a world full of magic and fantasy. Lemniscate a story about love, mercy, redemption and life itself where two angels from different sides of the spiritual battle will fight together because of the love they share for the same human girl. One will find a second chance in echoes of redemption and the other one will be tempted and immersed in what being alive and being human really means. Tegan will learn that her heart and the capacity of forgiveness will be the key to conquer evil; then their lives will be sealed by the power of the infinite symbol of Lemniscate. less
