review 1: Well firstly I'll just make it clear that i didn't read this book out of the goodness of my heart, but was forced to read it in school. It's about a guy falling in love with a girl dying of cancer. To be honest the amount of similarities between this book and The Fault in our Stars by John Green is downright scary. In spite of that I really did not like this book. It could be because of the facts that it's Danish, that I'm being forced to read it and that I hated the only other book I've read by this author are clouding my judgement. In my oppinion it's so amazingly cliché almost all of the time. The way the protagonist just loves Cecilie from the moment he sees her is pretty riddiculous. Her death scene was very.. sudden? and the ending was kinda boring and predictable.T... morehe middle part of the book, when he's been told she has cancer and tries to deal with it, is okay and even touching at some points. Other than that it's hard for me to find any positive things about this book and I'm definitely not looking forward to having to spend weeks dissecting and analysing it.(Sorry about my grammar and for being so negative)
review 2: I thought the book was alright, because 1: it was in danish 2: I hate danish. But the story line reminded me of 'The fault in our stars' but John Green because the girl has a cancer too like Cecilie and the main character meets a girl/boy who becomes there boy/girlfriend and they go to another country and just stuff like that. But I think I liked it but if it was not for a class and not in danish I would have probably really liked it :) less
