review 1: Jillian has done it again ... I fell in love with her writing in the Keatyn Chronicles and she knocked my socks off again with this one!!I absolutely love the characters in this book ... They are so easy to fall in love with and the witty banter and easy going relationship between Danny and JJ keeps you laughing the entire book! The love and chemistry between Phillip and JJ is undeniable even though it tends to take a while for them to see it!! This is an amazing story of how a girl fell in love or realizes that she was always in love with that boy!!!LOVE THIS!!I once read a quote from Marilyn Monroe. She said, "Ever notice how what the hell is always the right answer?"Sweetness..."I've been here for you all along. I've listened to you cry about other guys, I rescue you, t... moreake care of you when you're sad, tell you you're beautiful when you look terrible ... Princess I've always been the one."#princess #football
review 2: THE HOOK...This book begins with a girl crazy upset because she has to find a way to tell an audience of friends and family that she is definitely saying NO to the marriage proposal she has just received. What a position to be in, ugh. I must find out more. THE LINE...A sweet coming-of-age story, reminding me a little of the movie My Girl. JJ's friendship with best friend since practically infancy, Phillip, is threatened when new kid, Danny moves in across the street. After JJ practices a little 'persuasive girl power', she keeps her best friend and they all three end up thick as thieves. That brief beginning with the big turn-down was a stroke of genius - because I soon learn that she is refusing one or the other of these childhood besties, and I'm not going to like it either way. As I read along, I realize I am falling in love with both boys myself. JJ is very tomboyish and doesn't even realize it as she begins 'blossoming' - but her 'best buddies' sure do! There is always a little spark between JJ and the boys, so I can never pin down who the unfortunate one is going to be in the end. But the girl has gotta be crazy! Soon the plot thickens in a very dramatic way and now I'm invested and it doesn't matter which boy anymore. I'm for sure not setting this kindle down, even if I gotta read while charging, which I do. :)THE SINKER...OMG. If you love a great end - something 'throw you for a loop shocking', you'll enjoy this one. I thought I had it all figured out but I was SO wrong. Can't disclose more than that, obviously, cause the shock factor is what makes the book so great. Five star book - after getting through the initial angsty teen years, which I can handle in small quantities only!! less
