review 1: I could not wait until this audio book was done. I even contemplated quitting it. I thought the story was extremely boring. Not because the characters were, but because I felt nothing exciting ever happened. I felt that Samuel was crazy. Ok I get that he was an artist and that he was a little eccentric but I feel that he had a disorder of some sort. Half the time he was disconnected with reality and thought he was living in his crazy books. And I don't see what Samuel loved about lily. I found her to be flighty and dull. She was nice and sweet but her personality was just lacking in my opinion, especially for someone as headstrong as Samuel. I just couldn't get into this book. 2 stars.
review 2: Hace poco tuve un gran reencuentro con Jillian Hunter, al recordar... more un gran saga que me gusto bastante, y una familia con la que estoy muy, muy encariñada: los Boscastle.Y que buena va siendo mi sorpresa al ver una como protagonista.Este libro me gusto mucho por el tema de los libros la forma en que nos cuentan como se inspira Samuel para escribir, esta charla que al principio que tienen acerca de diferentes escritores, me encanto.Malamente deje el libro y tarde días en retomarlo, y ya no sentí tanta ¿pasión? al leerlo pero si me gusto la historia en general.3.5 less
