review 1: Jim Beaver had me laughing & most definitely crying. He has his own beautiful language that is very rare to come across. He bares his heart and sole into this book and shows the world just how strong a persons love and faith can really be. He teaches you that the little things are really the big things in our lifetime. Keep a tight hold onto the ones you love. Life's that way, never forget. Keep on humming.
review 2: I'm in the minority on this one, as others have given it fabulous reviews. I don't know why I didn't like it. I didn't connect with the author's personality. He's an excellent writer, but to me he came across as a name dropper (he's an actor) and slightly arrogant. I also found the story boring except for the last few chapters when, on the one-year
... more anniversary of discovering his wife had cancer, he finally told details of her symptoms and diagnosis the year prior. Why did he wait till the end to draw me in? less
