review 1: Today, Wallace is a champion. But in the summer of 2005, he was living in a shelter, a refugee from a suspicious pit bull�breeding operation. Andrew “Roo” Yori, a scientist and shelter volunteer, could tell immediately that Wallace was something special. Roo and his wife adopt Wallace and understands the dog needed a mission. Serendipity led them to the world of competitive Frisbee dogs, which normally do not suit pitbulls. But after overcoming everything from injuries to prejudice against the breed, the unlikely pair became World Champions. Great Book! Makes you look differently at pit bulls as a breed.
review 2: I always like a good dog book. Especially when it involves an underdog overcoming something. Even more so when it involves a pit bull. This boo... morek was a good story and put pitbulls in a good light which is what the breed needs. My only complaint was that I wish it gave a little more back story instead of a huge focus on the competitions. I know they are important to his accomplishments but I like a little more back story. Other than that good book! less
