review 1: Very easy read - I picked it up in the search for a book I read as a child about a scientist who discovered a cure for some illness. I loved the book....but I've never been able to find it again. Anyway - this was sort of along those same lines. Written for a relatively young audience (teens maybe?) and very short (only 123 pages with lots of pictures). Very interesting and informative. I should make my 7th grader read it.
review 2: After sitting by and becoming acquainted with James Murphy at UVU's Forum on Engaged Reading in September, I put his "Invincible Microbe" on my list of books to read--since it is nominated for a Beehive Book Award this year for non-fiction. I was not disappointed--it held my interest and was easy to read--despite the fact I am
... more not typically a lover of non-fiction books. This author may change my mind! less
