review 1: I LOVED the prequel, Stolen, but by chapter three of Seducing Sarah, I was...bored. The writing is fine, and I like the message that the author has peppered throughout the book about the historical demonization of sex and how it's really something very normal that can and should be enjoyed. The problem for me was the lack of heat in the H/h relationship; I never really felt the sparks they both claimed to feel (in thought, at least) about each other. Their 'real world' wants felt too sweet compared to what they experienced together at the Club. And of course - why didn't Quinn just ask Sarah out in the first place, instead of dropping everything to return to his position as a dom so he could be her teacher? He wouldn't let anyone else near her at the Club, so it felt like ... morehe just wanted her for sex, instead of the deeper, more meaningful relationship he claimed to want. Confusing. Maybe if I'd kept reading I would have learned the answers...I will still check out the next book in the series. Like I said - the prequel was one the best erotica short stories I've ever read. But I just need something with a little more punch next time.
review 2: MUCH better :) I read the first book and hated where it left off - I was actually really disappointed because I couldn't get the thought of this school out of my head! But after reading both stories together - I can say this was one HOT book! The ending went a little fast - but at least it was complete, so I'll except it :) It could have been a little longer and drawn out - but this was a short erotic story, so for that purpose, I'm happy with it :) The book starts off with Sarah getting ready to go to Nevada, Madame X's School of Sex - it's not for everyone, but for those who need to find themselves. One would think a School of Sex would be one big massive Orgies - and yes, some of the classrooms were set up that way - but the school of sex is mostly about finding yourself - finding what you like and giving you the confidence you need to please the one you're with *sigh* if only there really was a School of Sex :) I'd defiantly enroll :) Sarah was in a bad relationship - her ex had cheated on her and told her that she couldn't satisfy him, she wasn't any use to him in the bedroom, etc - crushing Sarah's ego more and more, to the point where she believe she was ugly and useless to all men. She had been lusting after he boss for so long - but she knew she could never satisfy a man like him. So Madame X's school of Sex is just what Sarah needs. When Quinn gets a phone call from Madame X about one of her soon to be students, he jumps at the chance to go back to the school and jump into his position as Master Q - one of the talented Teachers at the school. This was his chance to help Sarah, to finally give into his lust for her, and she'd never know it was him. There were some great learning qualities about this book - I don't think the book was suppose to be used as a study guide, or to teach you things to use in real life, but the small glimpses we saw in the classrooms were pretty stimulating :) I read the book ... stolen (I think that's what it's called) - which is the prequel to this - it has a short introduction of Dominic, the DOM and Veronica and how they met on the subway. It's a free e-book with the introduction to this book - and it was pretty fun to see them in here. Seducing Sarah, Volume 1 didn't have many details as far as the relationship goes for any of them, but when it blends into Volume 2 - everyone and everything starts piecing together. Defiantly a hot story for those looking for a steamy sexy fast read :) less
